Re: talkback discussion group. Ive been meaning to ask this for a while, how is android accessibility compared to iOS? Ive heard that there have been some big improvements recently, and would love to switch to android for a bunch of reasons, but I really dont want to lose access to some of the useful things I can do on iOS, such as TapTapSee, KNFB reader, ETC. The games dont hurt, either. I would strongly recommend, that you try and get a Android Lollypop device from a trusted brand, if you want the best accessibility aroun. If you cant pay for a device right away, get a Kitkat device, but make sure that its a trusted brand, where youll get at least one major upgrade.Ah, 4.4 to 4.4.4 is Kitkat, 5.0 and later is Lolypop. Re: talkback discussion group. Android has made a lot of improvements regarding accessibility. At least version 4.4.2 that I’m currently using is very accessible and it lets me take advantage of many programs for android. Almost all apps that came pre-installed on the device are accessible. I agree however, that Voice over is much better, but Talk back has also some amazing features!I use android in my daily life, and I can perform a lot of tasks that I need everyday, from calling and messaging, to web browsing. Popular programs such as skype, facebook, messenger, whatsapp, viber, clean master, firefox, and many others are accessible. When I first got an android device (Samsung), I assumed it would be pretty bad, because I was told so, but in fact it was very accessible and I soon became much familiar with android. I would love to upgrade to android 5.0 lollipop, but unfortunately; there is not any update so far. Thanks for the link of the group. really appreciated.
