You should be able to change it that way but remember, it's best to put in a sir name. Re: unlink skype account Unfortunately no. Microsoft is centralized meaning, they don't usually accept screen names due to security purposes. The only way to change it is to change your actual name to your screen name. For that, you'll have to log into your microsoft account and change it to your screen name. Re: unlink skype account I don't believe that is possible anymore because microsoft bought skype in its entirety a while ago; I think it was done some time in 2012 or 2013. Prier to that, skype could indeed be unlinked. Don't worry though as it won't affect you in any adverse way, even if you primarily use apple devices for skype.
