The lower noise floor at the analog output is only because the dac is not running - which looks to generate quite a lot of low level noise for 0 output. When it is turned off then this is much lower. However I think the impact could be more significant in that with the dac on at full volume then the power rails are not only powering the dac but also seeing some level of signal related variation. With the dac off this is not there and there should be direct no audio signal related modulation on the power rails.
