For those not liking the looks of the Transporter without knob, why not
find a suitable knob and stick it on over the blanking plate.

Below are pics of my LMS server case which houses a Raspberry Pi. Top
pic is as supplied, bottom pic with a knob and LED attached, the knob
does absolutely nothing.

Squeezeboxes do sound miles better now though! :o

And the reason is money, some of it in nice piles, others in lovely
clanky bits of loose change. Some of it neatly counted into fat
little hundreds, delicate fivers stuffed into bulging wallets,
nice crisp clean checks, pert pieces of copper coinage thrust deep
into trouser pockets, romantic foreign money rolling against the

banknotes, filigreed copper plating cheek by jowl with tumbly
rubbing gently against the terse leather of beautifully balanced

 importance

Although Greg has a point, which USB port to use is probably not that
important. What is more important is the USB cable used. I will try to
send a 1M USB cable that connects the Regen to the computer.

What I suggest is that Archi friends don't close their mind to trying
different USB cables maybe different USB ports.

The Regen works but you need a special DAC, USB port and USB cable, what
utter bollocks ...
