That Trends Audio TA-10.1 looks sweet. justhide it somewhere, set powerswitch on and the volume to max, then everything can be controlled by the squuezebox. How is the sound from it? -- snow snow's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6710 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68259 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] A small amp for my livingroom setup.
I need a small amp(like sonic t-amp) for my living-room, the only thing i want to see is my squeezebox classic and my bookshelf speakers, so volume will be controlled by the squeezebox. Any good recommendations, I listen to everything, and it would be nice if it could host a party as well :) The speakers are Audio Pro Black Pearl -- snow snow's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6710 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68259 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

My budget is max 500$. I love these small amps, you can hide it behind your bookshelf, and with the excellent Squeezebox classic(maby a Touch later) it makes it perfect. My idea is that I can use this in the living-room either if we have a party or I want to sit alone and listen some good acoustic music. I'm very skeptic to them being so small and since I never heard one playing before it's hard to choose one. -- snow snow's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6710 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68259 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

For just having music, there is the Dayton T-amp for $45 with 7.5 watts or the Pyle for $65 with 20 watts (has 20 watts but the distortion factor climbs big time after 5W) All watts listed into 8 ohm loads. The Mouse Amp that was suggested looks like a really nice design, clean amp. But at $399 dollars, the Parasound kills it for $349 especially with one getting 15 watts more per channel and if one doesn't need the volume knob. Just some suggestions not knowing your budget or actually how small the amp has to be (by small did you mean in size or amount of watts?). The Parasound Zamp looks nice, but what is the size of it? I'm meaning size and not watts :) I tried search for 't-amp on ebay' (http://electronics.shop.ebay.com/Amplifiers-/14970/i.html?_nkw=t-amp_catref=1_fln=1_trksid=p3286.c0.m282) and there is alot of them up to 90W. -- snow snow's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6710 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68259 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
