[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Am I the only person who still wants a digital only Transporter
I use a Meridian G68 so really don't want to shell out for the analogue stages. Although I'm sure they are excellent, going from D-A-D-A is bound to have some influence on the sound. I really like the idea of the Transporter, but I'd like to buy it without the analougue stage. Even better if I could also have one without the grab handles... I for one would buy a digital only Transporter, but only if there was an option to buy it without the grab handles. They completely spoil the look IMHO. And I have a Meridian G68 too, so just don't see the point in paying for an excellent analogue stage that I'll never use. When I spoke to the manufacturer I said the same, but he said they order stock seperately, and that CPC had some units on backorder and the 18 that went out to Farnell last week had completely cleared out his current inventory. I would check with CPC rather than just waiting.
