Not mine (it's an early one that I never got round to upgrading). It has a direct mode, but volume control for instance is still done in the digital domain (as far as I'm aware), so some A-D D-A conversion happens. -- Dick Sternum Dick Sternum's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1062 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46111 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles

The TP's dual screens and ability to use without a remote from the front panel are great, plus if you want true 88.2khz and 96Khz playback, you need the TP. -- amcluesent amcluesent's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46111 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles

you might want to move this to the Audiophile sub-forum. -- JayNYC JayNYC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=121 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46111 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter - Is it worth it?
I think that the DAC is the most important difference between the SB3 and the transporter. So when you already use an excellent external DAC, the difference will be much smaller than for others who buy a transporter instead of a SB3. Of course there are other advantages: faster processor, better prower supply, etc. So it's up to you to decide, if this is enough additional value for the extra money. But you know, we audiophiles always pay a lot for these minor differences. -- MacMini MacMini's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46111 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
