Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter rca spdif digital input problem - no music
Hi Sean, Thanks for the super-quick response :) I have 7.0.1 and will update to the current version. I will post back if the issues recurrs. Strange enough it worked fine on this version for a few months, before the problem occurred. Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter rca spdif digital input problem - no music
Hello Slim Devices - any updates for me? Is this a software problem? I have filed a service request also. It's kind of a moot point because streaming files wifi to the Transporter sounds better to me than my Sony cd transport with Illuminati D60 coax digital interconnect with digital input to the Transporter so I guess I don't really care to use the digital input anymore, but would like confirmation or resolution. Is my Transporter defective? Is it a software issue that a newer version will address? It would be good too know. Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter rca spdif digital input problem - no music
I recently upgraded to Squeezecenter to resolve a problem with using Leopard and to also implement fw40. I am having an similar experience to mr_bill's, which is that when I listen to the digital inputs (bnc/spdif) I am able to switch between Squeezecenter and the digital input without any problems. The transporter is driving a line stage with a volume control. The volume on the transporter is set to 0 db. The problem is triggered by any change in the digital volume control, the result being silence and then clicks and pops. If I then switch to Squeezecenter, audio resumes. I then reset the volume control to 0 and switch back to the digital input and the audio resumes. I haven't been able to investigate the problem beyond this point. Any thoughts on how to proceed will be appreciated. I am finding Squeezecenter to be a very impressive upgrade from Slimserver. Congratulations to all involved. You do have the DVD digital out set to PCM (not AC-3) AND the Downmix set to normal (not surround) don't you? It's easy to not set both of these... Also are you using Toslink or coax - there are known issues with this particular player where the two connectors behave differently (even though that defies logic) - try both... -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...SB3+Stontronics PSU - Altmann JISCO/UPCI - TACT RCS 2.2X with Good Vibrations S/W - MF X-DAC V3/X-PSU/X-10 buffer (Audiocomm full mods)- Linn 5103 - Linn Aktiv 5.1 system (6x LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend Supertweeters, Kimber Chord cables Phil Leigh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=85 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43855 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
