[aur-general] Deletion request: spoonwep2

2011-03-16 Thread 郑文辉
Please delete spoonwep2[1] as following reasons:

1. The spoonwep2 seems hasn't been supported by BT4[2].
2. There is no home page or link for spoonwep2 and the link originally
provided by PKGBUILD is seems like to be for BT.
3. The package installed into /usr/local,and are not compatitable with
newest aircrack-ng.
4. The src package contain an binary file.

so,please delete it.

So let's say foo is at version 4.0 (stable), should foo-devel stay at
3.9 (the last beta/rc/unstable release) or update to 4.0?

Stay at the last unstable release.

[aur-general] Deletion requests: libiconv and nepomuk-playground-svn

2011-03-16 Thread mutlu_inek
Hi,

Please delete libiconv and nepomuk-playground-svn entried from the AUR.

Regarding libiconv: the files and functionalities it provided are now part of
glibc. Having a package that conflicts with glibc does not make sense.

Regarding nepomuk-playground-svn: the code moved to KDE's new git repository
and was renamed at the same time. A new PKGBUILD could easily be created, but
this fulfills no purpose any more.

Cheers,

mutlu

Package foo exists in [extra], and foo-devel in the AUR.

foo-devel is obviously based off unstable tarball releases (otherwise it
 would be foo-git, foo-svn, foo-hg or similar).

So let's say foo is at version 4.0 (stable), should foo-devel stay at
3.9 (the last beta/rc/unstable release) or update to 4.0?

Just a general question. My gnucash-devel package is currently pretty
much identical to the one in [extra], and it does seem a bit unnecessary
because the project itself does not currently have unstable releases.

At least when I'm using -dev(el) packages I do so to get the most
bleeding edge releases of that specific software (decluding svn/hg/git
versions - unless recommended by upstream). I don't even understand
how could anybody cope with just having unstable releases :). I myself
quickly get annoyed by the crashes/lagginess/whatever.

But as Jan said, it's a preference question decided by the maintainer (you).

2011-03-16 Thread Krzysztof Grygiencz

Hi,

svgalib-devel - http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=9501

1. It doesn't compile.
2. My package (svgalib) is acually a devel version and it's compiling
fine with the newest kernel (2.6.38).

n-queens-svn - http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=39619

1. It doesn't compile neither with metslib nor metslib-newest.
