[aur-general] python3-aur: now with interactive functionality

2012-11-05 Thread Xyne
Hi,

I just want to announce that the latest release of python3-aur [1] includes 2
significant changes:

1) The original AUR module is now AUR.RPC. Although it is still possible to
import the AUR class from AUR, users should update their scripts to import
   from AUR.RPC instead.

2) The package now includes AUR.Aurploader, which was the backend module created
for the Python rewrite of Aurploader [2]. The addition of this module to
python3-aur adds support for interaction such as login in, uploading
packages, posting comments, voting, unvoting, notifying, etc.

The package should now provide a good starting point for automating most
tasks. I will likely add missing functionality as I need it or as it is
requested.

I may eventually add TU-specific functionality as well (e.g. checking and
voting in ongoing TU votes, which could be useful given the recent comments on
(nearly) missing votes).

Regards,
Xyne

Re: [aur-general] AUR upgraded to 2.0.0

2012-11-05 Thread Hector Martinez-Seara
Awesome,
thank you very much for your work. We really have good people around arch
community.
My two cents, I have finished and uploaded to www.transifex.com the catalan
translation. I though that there will be a notice in arch-general. But I
guess that it was done in aur-dev which I was not subscribed to. Anyway
here it is so catalan can be properly incorporated in a future release.
Thanks,
Hector

 Hi, everybody!

The official Arch Linux AUR setup has been upgraded to 2.0.0. For a list
of changes, you can read the release announcements [1], [2], [3] and the
 Git log [4].

Please report any issues on the AUR bug tracker [5].

[aur-general] AsciiDoc version of the TU bylaws -- voting period

2012-11-05 Thread Lukas Fleischer
Hi, Trusted Users!

The discussion period has ended, please cast your votes on [1]. The
discussion can be found on [2].

Please note that this vote is only about converting the bylaws to
AsciiDoc [3], [4]; there aren't any changes to the bylaws themselves.
Also note that this amendment requires a quorum of 75%. I'd like to
remind everybody to vote -- it literally only takes 10 seconds!

[aur-general] Cleanup of beagle related packages

2012-11-05 Thread Jekyll Wu
The beagle[1] upstream is effectively dead. I don't think any major
distribution still provides it.

All beagle related packages on AUR are orphaned, and none of them can
build (for various reasons). So I would propose removing these packages:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kerry-no-gnome-svn/
