[aur-general] Dropping of smc and smc-data
smc and smc-data will be moved AUR soon cegui will be updated to last version and smc doesn't support it. Current version is already patched for cegui in community, and upstream hasn't release new smc version for years. I believe that is not useful to have a non-maintained and old development version for thunar... I think that they should be merged keeping the git version https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/thunar-devel/ into https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/thunar-git And these are very old and patched version, the second one have a patch that now is upstream https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/thunar-notrash/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/thunar-smallicons/ Delete it Diego

Could you please merge 'xsser' (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xsser/) into 'xsser-svn' (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xsser-svn/)? The original 'xsser' package should have been named 'xsser-svn'. The original uploader made a new package called 'xsser-svn' and disowned 'xsser'.

Well, I found only almost 100 packages with $name-icon-theme. I think it would be safe to modify/create a rule so that the new packages need to be: icon-theme-$name(-$de) As soon as we finish the discussion I can contact every maintainer and point he/she to this conversation and to the new guidelines, it's a matter of a couple of minutes to change name and re-upload the package.

I see no reason to do this. Set up a good pkgver function using git describe and have it conflict with the non-git package, then they can coexist just fine.
