[aur-general] Merge request for [xen-4.3].

2013-08-17 Thread Evan Teitelman
Please merge xen-4.3[1] into xen-4.3-git[2].

Reasoning:
- There are only minor differences between the two PKGBUILD files.
- Both packages retrieve their sources with Git.
- Both packages were submitted by the same user, suggesting that the
uploading of xen-4.3-git was a rename attempt.
- xen-4.3 is unmaintained.

Ask the maintainer to change it, either in the comments or send them an

I've deleted tuxtyping as it was just a duplicate of tuxtype.

I've removed the package, because the sources are no longer available.

The Archive_Tar package seems to be broken -- probably due to a PHP
update. I applied a quick and dirty fix on alderaan, so this should work
again. Please use the bug tracker (FS#36576) for any further discussion.

It's being reported on the bbs, too, including with a tarball made withmakepkg
-S. I just tried it myself with a very simple PKGBUILD-onlypackage and makepkg
-S, won't let me upload with the same error.Seems to be an AUR bug.

This isn't news for me... I've done it before, I've done it today.
As I said, this error comes with old src packages as well with newly
created.

If you create your tarballs using 'makepkg -S', you shouldn't run into
such problems.

[aur-general] aur upload problems

2013-08-17 Thread Rob Til Freedmen
Hi,
I've tried uploading to the aur (via web) but got an error:
Error - source tarball may not contain nested subdirectories.

aurploader just returns with an unspecified error.

I've looked at the source package and everything looks ok.
I've tried an older source package uploaded long time ago
and got the same error.

Well, that email just confirmed my feeling that the moderation on

Linux and Arch where I can ask general questions, but without the
seemingly arbitrary moderation?

Please look at my package avidemux-2.6.
Today I updated it.

When I try "View PKGBUILD" action it gives me old package.
When I download tarball it gives me new package.

Where is problem?
