Wouldn't it make more sense to follow Qt naming and move it to
qt4-phonon-mplayer-git?

[aur-general] Merge request: zfs to zfs-git

2014-05-02 Thread Jesus Alvarez
Packages include:

zfs => zfs-git
zfs-utils => zfs-utils-git
spl => spl-git
spl-utils => spl-utils-git

Reason: The original zfs packages could not keep up with the default linux
kernel in Arch. ZFSonLinux is slow to make official releases and kernel API
changes made basing the ZFS packages on the official release impossible
without many patches from git.

Users that want to continue to use official ZFS releases are encouraged to
use the zfs-lts packages in AUR.

Thanks,
Jesus A. (demizer)
Maintainer of the ZFS packages in AUR.

[aur-general] Requet merge: phonon-mplayer-git into phonon-qt4-mplayer-git/

2014-05-02 Thread SpinFlo
Hi

please merge:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/phonon-mplayer-git/

into

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/phonon-qt4-mplayer-git/

because the phonon backend's is splitting into Qt4 and Qt5 code.
phonon-mplayer-git is only Qt4 compilant

greetings

Re: [aur-general] Delete ttf-formata

2014-05-02 Thread Lukas Jirkovsky
There's no problem for providing PKGBUILD in AUR as long as it does
not download from an illegal source or otherwise advertise illegal
activity.

You can always create a PKGBUILD that states only the file name in the
source array and which requires users to manually download the file.
There are many PKGBUILDs that does that. An interesting solution is
used by many packages for games from the Humble Indie Bundle:

 That's the thing about the AUR, you're not redistributing it. You're
 just providing a link to it and a method of installation.

You can package it for yourself but you aren't allowed to post the
PKGBUILD to the AUR unless you get permissions from the ones that own
the copyright of the font.
