[aur-general] package deletion
Hi guys, Please delete the following packages owned by me: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gromacs-mpi-3/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gromacs-407/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tcl84/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tk84/ Both gromacs packages were needed at the lab i used to work, but now they were phased out and no interest appeared on them from the community. The last two were required by pymol-svn for some time, but not anymore. Although they have some votes, i honestly cant recall when they were cast. Thanks. -- Eduardo Martins Lopes Laboratory of Theoretical Chemistry Federal University of São Carlos
[aur-general] deletion of package g95-cocon
Hello guys, I'd like to request the deletion of g95-cocon from AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/g95-cocon/). The original developer deprecated the network console (the software of this package alongside a custom g95 binnary) and therefore, this package is no longer usefull. Thanks in advance, -- Eduardo Martins Lopes
Re: [aur-general] orphaned community packages (intel-tbb, arpack, libmatio, xml-rpc and aspell-pt)
Hello Ray and thanks for your reply! Can i upload a pkbuild to the AUR (perhaps with the same name) ? There a few other orphans that would like to adopt, if it's possible: * libmatio - http://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/i686/libmatio/ * arpack - http://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/i686/arpack/ * xmlrpc-c - http://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/i686/xmlrpc-c/ * aspell-pt - http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/aspell-pt/ Although i do not use the last ones (except for the dictionary), they fall within the scope of my interests. Hello I was supposed to bring intel-tbb to extra and build opencv against it. I will do that soon, so you don't have to worry about that one anymore and opencv from repos will have intel-tbb improvement. These are great news! As for the others, it depends on the maintainer, the package popularity, whether it is in use as a make or optional dependency etc. Actually the question regarding the names is about creating an aur package with the same name of the orphaned ones since the aur is where i can maintain those packages.

[aur-general] Package Deletion - gtk2.18
Hello guys, I would like to ask for the deletion of this package http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=36204 It was required by another program but it's useless right now. I would also ask for deletion of another two, but i cant exactly tell if they are still used or not by someone else because they got a few votes awhile ago. Thanks in advance, -- Eduardo Martins Lopes Laboratory of Theoretical Chemistry Federal University of São Carlos
[aur-general] DELETION REQUEST: g95-stable
Hello all, I would like to request the deletion of the g95-stable package ( http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=31466 ) for the author of the program has been not releasing non-stable packages for quite some time. Thanks in advance -- Eduardo Martins Lopes Laboratory of Theoretical Chemistry Federal University of São Carlos
[aur-general] Package deletion: upc (or rename to gccupc)
Hello all, I uploaded a package with the wrong name, the package upc should be named gccupc for UPC is a programming language for which there are several compilers (gccupc is only one of it). I already corrected in my pkgbuild and therefore would like to ask for the deletion of the previous one or to have it renamed to gccupc. Thanks in advance,-- Eduardo Martins Lopes
[aur-general] Removal Request
Greetings, i would like request the removal of the following aur packages: g95-x86 :: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=27013 g95-x86_64 :: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=26268 for i merged them into a single package which i plan to name g95-stable. The current maintainer of g95 is somewhat inactive, is that true? If so, i would like to request the permission to update that package. Re: [aur-general] Removal Request
Thanks for the quick answer, since you said that the maintainer is responding to the comments, i assume you are referring to the first two i asked for deletion because they are maintained by me (duca). Sorry for my confusing previous email, the one i asked to assume is this one: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=7587 the others i asked for deletion because i merged the two packages into one (although i didnt upload the pkgbuild yet) best regards, /*/ Eduardo Martins Lopes /*/ --- Em sex, 23/10/09, Chris Brannon cmbranno...@gmail.com escreveu: De: Chris Brannon cmbranno...@gmail.com Assunto: Re: [aur-general] Removal Request Para: edumlo...@yahoo.com.br, Discussion about the Arch User Repository (AUR) aur-general@archlinux.org Data: Sexta-feira, 23 de Outubro de 2009, 11:20 Greetings, i would like request the removal of the following aur packages: g95-x86 :: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=27013 g95-x86_64 :: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=26268 for i merged them into a single package which i plan to name g95-stable.
