[aur-general] Request to remove kdeplasma-atheist-quote

2009-12-14 Thread Final Crisis

Hello,

First and foremost, sorry if this isn't the right place or way to do this, as
I've never done it before, but I recall someone suggesting getting it done this
way.

I would like to have kdeplasma-atheist-quote removed from AUR, which I had
submitted a while ago under the false impression that the package worked. It
"worked" on my computer as well as a friend's because we had manually installed
and uninstalled it as non-root users once before and it likely kept in cache or
something of the sort despite the uninstall. It "works" there, but it doesn't
work on new machines (btw I wasn't aware he'd had the plasmoid installed once
before I asked him to test the package). I never figured out how to fix it
because it's not made the same way pretty much every other plasmoid is [it's
lose javascript files or some such, no cmake stuff will do afaik], and it's
been orphaned n broken for a LONG time, so it should be removed.

Thanks,

FrozenFox

[aur-general] Sonata-svn package should be removed.

2010-08-04 Thread Final Crisis

The package sonata-svn at http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=6963 is
obsoleted by sonata-git and should be removed. The maintainer on its aur page
said he left it to aid in the transition to the correct package and it's been
long enough to remove it.

[aur-general] Spux-svn should be removed

2010-09-14 Thread Final Crisis

The Spux (ventrilo client) project is dead and another project, Mangler (also
on aur already), has taken its place. The pkgbuild for spux-svn naturally has
been long since dead, and should be removed.

[aur-general] Obsoleted packages removal request.

2011-03-03 Thread Final Crisis

The following package is obsolete and I believe should be removed:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=27279 grub2-gfxmenu-overlay
The following packages are a little less clear, but in the end I believe should
also be removed, as they have a few problems:
They rely on grub2-gfxmenu, which is obsolete. Grub2 was supposed to take
gfxmenu patches upstream a while ago. I don't know if it did + whether or not
these still work after tweaking the pkgbuilds accordingly, as I have since
switched back to the old grub. It seems after a very long time, nobody has come
forth to say one way or another on any of the pages. It wouldn't much matter
anyway, however, unless someone has backups of the theme files somewhere to
upload to a different host of their own. The urls all of the theme packages try
to download from are now broken and have been for quite some time, as they were
kept by a friend of mine a while ago who had no further reason to keep up his
hosting services. None of them have a maintainer except the last one, but for
the above reasons, it doesn't much matter as far as I can see.

[aur-general] Obsolete grub2-gfxmenu packages

2011-11-17 Thread Final Crisis

The following aur packages I made some time ago have been obsolete and the
source files non-existent for a very long time and should be removed:
grub2-theme-aftermathblue, grub2-theme-archsphere, grub2-theme-distroballs,
grub2-theme-elegantarch, grub2-theme-planeplant, grub2-theme-simplyblack,
grub2-theme-ubuntuglow, grub2-gfxmenu-overlay, grub2-icons-circlestarts
Thanks.

[aur-general] arista: duplicate aur package

2011-11-17 Thread Final Crisis

The package 'arista' in aur appears to be obsoleted by the package
'arista-transcoder'. The former should probably be removed, as it hasn't been
updated/maintained in a very long time. Thanks :)
