I feel so sorry for you! :D I hope you have the opportunity to get back
to using a proper email client soon. :)

@1) Sorry, I am using the GMail web interface and forgot that it is quoting
previous mails automatically.

@2) Thanks, I will have read it up at some point (I'm a bit ill currently,
so probably in a few days).

1) Please do not top-post on mailing lists. :)

2) The available options are shown using `ssh a...@aur.archlinux.org
help`, and further elaborated upon in the file "doc/git-interface.txt"
in the source code. Sadly, it appears that it is not available on the
web interface the same way "doc/rpc.txt" is available as
https://aur.archlinux.org/rpc

I think the solution is to simply copy web/html/rpc.php as
git-interface.php and have it show the contents of git-interface.html
instead of rpc.html

Hopefully we can make this available in the next release (which is
scheduled soon!)

Since we are speaking about it, where is a good place to read the
documentation? :) I have got along with
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository#Submitting_packages
so far but looks like this is not enough for some cases...

Oh no, someone who actually *reads the documentation*!

Or, ssh aur.archlinux.org restore $pkgbase

Even better because you don't need to touch the pkgrel.

Cheers,

Actually, I also thought so but when I tried, git told me that the repo is
up to date, so nothing changed and the package didn't appear in the AUR as
well...

Unfortunately, I

cannot do it myself because its git repo still exists:

I think you could do it yourself. Just git clone the repo as before and
push again (not sure it works, but I think it does).

[aur-general] Could someone please bring back the skypeforlinux-beta-bin package?

2017-11-13 Thread Michael Kogan
Hello everybody,

about a month ago I submitted the skypeforlinux-beta-bin package to the AUR
due to an issue which appeared in newer skypeforlinux versions. Yesterday I
decided to get this package deleted because several people reported and I
could verify myself that the issue was fixed in the most recent
skypeforlinux versions. However, after the package has been deleted, I got
several complaints now that the issues are not solved for everybody. So I
would like to request to put this package back to the AUR. Unfortunately, I
cannot do it myself because its git repo still exists:
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=skypeforlinux-beta-bin

Thanks for your time and sorry for the hassle!
Michael
