[aur-general] Inactive TU -- Federico Cinelli
Hi, since it was mentioned on IRC: It looks like Federico Cinelli is inactive and should be brought up for special removal according to [1]. We usually try not to be overly pedantic with these rules, but Federico has been MIA for a long time now: * Last SVN commit on 2013-12-04. * Did not send a mail to the mailing lists for ~6 months. * Inactive on the AUR (there are orphan requests for his packages). * Inactive on the bug tracker. * Inactive on IRC. I sent him an email a couple of days ago but didn't receive a reply. Hope he is doing well! Let the discussion period begin, the voting period will start on 2014-08-05. [aur-general] Inactive users
Hi, What is the current policy on dealing with inactive users? In the case of the zephyr package, the owner has not been active since 2011-07-18 and had several flagged packages, many of which had been flagged for quite a while. I orphaned all of the flagged packages but in such cases should we just preemptively disown all of the user's packages? I have written a script to handle such cases [1]. Of course, if there were some official policy here then this might be better handled server-side, but for now this solution is convenient. Incidentally, aurploader contains a full python module since the last release with support for automating most AUR interaction (disowning, merging, etc.). In combination with python3-aur it is quite versatile. Regards, Xyne [1] http://xyne.archlinux.ca/scripts/aur/orphanizer

Hi all, I'm going to be inactive for a bit, I'm afraid. I'm travelling for work this week, and then moving house. Not sure how quickly I'll get Internet set up at the new place.
