No, please, don't remove those packages.
The question is : how do you swap stand-in software with the original in a
maintainable fashion
- sendmail -> postfix
- pulseaudio -> pipewire
- vi -> vim
- firefox -> lots of candidates
while still using the original name in scripts, human habits ?
And, to be honest, firefox is an easier to remember name than librefox.
