Re: [Aus-soaring] Ka 6 E 1045 km
Hi Dennis, An outstanding flight be it in the 6e or the Elfe. Bloody ridges just keep going and you could do 1000 km in a brick. That was a bit harsh Ian, sorry, Great effort tho. Just returned from the Museum. apart from one wing everything else is in silver now. The other wing will be finished next week. I put the priority back coz I've just got too much to do and I want to do the other peoples gliders before ours. Learn on them, in other words. The glider looks great, almost as if it is ready to fly. When I pick it up I will take it to my place. The garage is empty (for the moment) but I do have to arrange getting the T 31 to Bacchus and that means unloading either the Golden Eagle or the ASK 14 so I can use the trailer. A lot of stuffing around. I trust you are having a good time and not burning the candle at both ends. [Aus-soaring] Dr Jacks blipmaps and RASP (Regional Atmospheric Soaring Predictions) for NSW
Hi Folks, I have just installed RASP (Dr Jacks blipmaps) for NSW : http://blipmap.walsys.net/NEWSOUTHWALES/ The installation is still in the testing stage but appears OK apart from the soundings. (The Camden sounding works, but Temora and Narromine don't yet). On the graphics, location 1 is Camden, 2 is Temora, and 3 is Narromine (the numbers are in white and hard to see, but they are there). RASP is installed on a server owned by a non-pilot friend; it chews up about 9GB of his download allowance every month, and utilises 100% CPU for about 4-5 hours per day. Consequently it could disappear at any time, should it impact his web server. My thanks to Johnny Wharington for his invaluable assistance, and Dr Jack Glendinning for the free distribution of RASP. Regards, Bernie Baer / Southern Cross Gliding Club, Camden. ___ Aus-soaring mailing list Aus-soaring@lists.internode.on.net To check or change subscription details, visit: http://lists.internode.on.net/mailman/listinfo/aus-soaring
