Re: [Aus-soaring] NSW State Comps

2007-11-19 Thread Future Aviation Pty. Ltd.
Hi all

I didn't want to contradict Adam before the final results were out but I
hope I can
be forgiven for stating that only three ASG 29 competed but finished
first, second
and third.
Congratulations to Graham, Hank and Mac.

Adam, the fastest speed of the comp was done by Mac flying an ASG 29.

Not sure if Westy was pulling my leg or not, but he had said that a V2cx
did 180km/hr over the task!

Sounds like it's either the 'biggest ever...' aus soaring day, or the
VENTUS 2CX is just a WICKED glider!!

Wonder how many have pulled out of the comp to try for the 1000 or
record flights?

2007-11-19 Thread JR
If I was Bernard I would put it down to the fact that there were in fact only 3
gliders flying in the contest, or all the others were blaniks, ( not that there
is anything wrong with blaniks )
regards to all ( including Bernard)

[Aus-soaring] Glider at Merimbula

2007-11-19 Thread Stuart Kerri FERGUSON
Does anyone know what is happening with SLINGSBY T53-B - VH-GUB

parked on the aerodrome at Merimbula NSW?

I have just return from a couple of days working down there and the glider
is sitting in its open

trailer on the airport, no tug - no club and the airport manager had no idea
what the owner intends

to do with it.

CASA has it registered in Mareeba Qld.
