[AusNOG] iiNet/WestNet Anti-Spam - False Positives

2021-03-25 Thread David Rawling
Hi all

I think this is only tangentially on topic for AusNOG, but could
someone point me in the direction of a contact at TPG/iiNet/WestNet to
help resolve mail delivery issues to iiNet and Westnet addresses?

I have a customer who's been unable to send to iiNet et al for a couple
of weeks now; the iiNet server is returning "5.7.1 SPF unauthorized
mail is prohibited" for domains with valid SPF and also for domains
with no SPF records.

They have had no issues with other networks including GMail, O365 and
the like.

I do have an open incident with iiNet but the responses haven't helped.
There are also isolated reports elsewhere of the same problem. I've
validated the customer's SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and they seem OK to me, but I
just want to fix it. That means if I'm wrong I want someone to tell me
how I've stuffed up.

Thanks in advance

Dave.

Thanks everyone for the responses.

Scott Mcintyre is putting me in touch with the right people at Telstra.

Cheers

Subject: [AusNOG] Help with a Telstra plan change gone wrong

Hello Noggers,

I have a customer who has been with Telstra for 20 years and they have done
something wrong during a port to new hardware.

During the process they ended up having their long standing number cancelled
instead of ported, with a new number issued.

There's no process to get this looked at, hence I need some help so we can sort
her out.

Can someone from Telstra guide me in the right direction to help the customer ?

Many thanks

Darren.

Telstra can reactivate a number that was cancelled in error, it's literally
a check box when they allocate the phone number.

The customer will need to visit a store to get a new SIM though because the
old sim once canned is deadski.

I'd be finding a Telstra owned store that has Telstra paid staff, not a
franchisee who is only in it for the sales commission.

Re: [AusNOG] seeking contact Equinix Au / AS17819

2021-03-25 Thread Dmitry Konchanin
Update: the issue has been fixed, thanks to Matthew @Equinix getting it
to the right people.

p.s. NOGs are real life savers and probably the only option when you
hear "what is customer id?" and there is the issue and  you are not a
customer.

Dmitry

Hi,

Got stuck with some /weird /issue on the Equinix border, and NOC
is not much helpful as we are not a direct customer.

If somebody from Equinix AU (AS 17819) network could contact me
off list it would be appreciated.

... or maybe somebody saw before the Equinix dropping incoming
"from internet" traffic from a fresh subnet allocated from APNIC
just recently.
