Re: [AusNOG] VDSL to Ethernet Converter
Hi, Any CPE that supports profile 30a in station mode can act as a B end, but you'd need one of those in central office mode to pair them together. I've used a basic TP Link as a 30a client in the past. I do have a VC231 sitting in a drawer in Sydney, but I won't have access to it till mid next week. I also have a stack of 8 port VDSL switches I'm happy to let go for a nominal fee + shipping if you're interested. Probably not. We tried this exact thing as a FTTN test bench in the office with the same/similar device and none the modems we tried would sync. Meanwhile if anyone has suggestions for the above (ie, a 1-4 port cheap micro “DSLAM”), I’d love to hear!
