[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] External Item - Sales Order
I was hoping somebody could help me out with external item numbers. We have customers that would like to use their own part numbers for ordering - which seems like a great fit for customer external item numbers. Is it possible to use the external item number on the sales order lines for ordering purposes? Thanks for you help... Rick Yahoo! RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] External Item - Sales Order
Francisco, Thanks for the response, but when I do this and I go to the sales order form and try to enter the external item number on a sales order to that particular customer I get the message that the item does not exist in the item table? [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Inquiry Packing Slip
Running 3.0 when I go to inquiry packing slip off of a PO,If there is more than one packing slip for a single PO, it will display the packing slips twice. So for example if there are 2 packing slips, then it will dispay packing slip 1 twice, and slip 2 twice. This only occurs when the vendpackingslipjour is opened from inquirypacking slip on the PO. If it is opened directly from the AOT then the records display correctly. Doing some code hunting I believe the problem lies with the VendPackingSlipPurchLink table. Does anyone know what the problem could be, or what the purpouse of this table is. Thanks, MJH Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ~-- What would our lives be like without music, dance, and theater? RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Subcon without production module?
Title: Message Here is an easy method to apply using just part numbers. Start with issuing a single raw material part numberwhen sending to sub contractor, then issue another part number when receiving from subcontractor, you can make part numbers intelligent if you would like but this is usually more confusing and worthless down the road, just create new unique numbers for the items. Associate the cost for each part raw material and raw material plus process accordingly. Hope this helps Tracy S. Hi I want to be able to capture the sending of material to a sub con. The situation is as follows: 1) Item A (raw material) is already purchased and sitting in the warehouse 2) Item A is sent to subcontractor for processing 3) Subcon sends back the processed material as Item B and charges a processing cost per pcs How canI best capture this without the production module? I need the processing and item A cost to be both included into Item B's cost. I was thinking I can: 1) Use inventory transfer to move the item to a subcon warehouse 2) Use a BOM journal that consumes Item A and the process cost (setup as an item) to give me Item B. 3)User would have to update a purchase invoice for the processing cost item Is this the best or only way? Is there anything that could be done better or anything to watchout for? Thanks James Sharing the knowledge on Axapta. Sharing the knowledge on Axapta. Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ADVERTISEMENT Yahoo!
