[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] importing data for smmQuotationLines from excel

2006-05-13 Thread mbsdax

Hi group,

Getting problem when Importing data (smmQuotationLines table) from
excel sheet

I want to insert records in smmQuotationTable and smmQuotationLine
tables from excel sheet. I am able to insert record for
smmQuotationTable.

But getting problem while inserting records for smmQuotationLine. I
am trying to insert records with only mandatory fields. It seems
smmQuotationLine table required inventTransID,inventDimID and some
dimension related fields. But these fields I am not able to
insert. Its giving error The value 48 is not found in the map.

I am getting other error like:
Currency code 'empty' with triangulation No after the 5/11/2006 has
no exchange rate.
Note:We are handling with USD only.

Please suggest me something on this, there is very urgent requirement
for this.

Any kind of help is appreciable.

Thanks,
Aryan

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Axapta Security Precedent

2006-05-13 Thread joeinvcost

Hello all,
There's one exception to what Hans wrote. If you use
Axapta's record level security feature, a restriction via one group
will override access granted via other groups. This is because
Axapta RLS is basically a filter, rather than an extension of normal
security.

 Hi,
user goup rights are cumulative. In your example: access to table
is perimtted.
 But consider that you have
 a) function rights (is a user enabled to use menu item e.g.
CustTable and in what way)
 b) table rights
So if you set up table right full access and menu item right read
only then the user has only the possibility to read (as you don't
give him rights in AOS where you can add records using the table
browser).

 Dear Community,

In Windows, permission groups override each other to the most
restrictive setting. Do you know how Axapta Security Groups override
each other? Another words, if one group permits access to a table,
and another group does not permit access to a table, does a user that
belongs to both groups see the table?

 Thanks,
 Ilan
