[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Regd Costing Module - EDS
Hi All, Can anyone give some information about the developments in the Costing Module - Expense Distribution Sheets. We are finding it difficult to proceed beyond Calculations as explained by the Microsoft Webcast -3 (dated Jan 2007) Pl inform if there are any more webcasts explaining EDS and other things after Jan 2007. It will be of immense help if someone who has already implemented Cost Accounting module can share their experience. thanks in advance regards Bala

Due to some financial reasons and other reasons our customer wants to implement production-I in phase-1 and production-II in phase-II. in first phase there willl be no routing management. i am worried about many things. I am right now anyway testing them but if anyone had done this before it would save my time. 1. Ledger Posting in this case should only be done using Production Groups. (Hope this is right) When we go for Production-II I may go for Item+Category or Item+Workcenter. What would be the effect of production costing in that case? 2. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] OLAP: Error while opening Pivot table
Hi,
I am using Ax 3.0 SP4 and SQL Server 2000 SP4. I have made necessary
setups in the Analysis Server for data mining. And, I made the requried
settings in Axapta as well. I made it for customers. When I try to access the
Pivot table, the system is giving the following error:
Error:
Method 'fieldSets' in COM object of class 'PivotView' returned error code
0x80004005{E_FAIL} which means: Genera failure.
Can anyone help me out how to get out of it and get the pivot table view?

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Document Handling
Hi, In Axapta there is a form smmDocuments that is uses on CRM -- Business Relations and click there on the button Documents. Here you can add files to a Business Relation. Now, there is an other form DocView that you can call from any form in the toolbar. On this form you can ad a document to a record that has been selected when you clicked this button. Now is my question: On smmDocuments you have an ActiveX control where you just have to put the file on that button and it's imported in a record. Is this possible to insert this ActiveX control in the Docview form and let it work? Greetings.

If you have barcode fonts loaded on the client and AOS, then you can change the font on the report for the particular field to a barcode font. You will have to play around with the font and size to get it to look like you want. Two of the more common BC fonts are Code 39 and Code 128. As far as scanning in a barcode, as long as AX has the font loaded you can do this by simply attaching a keyboard wedge or USB scanner to your computer. AX treats the input as just that an input and you are done. Yes you should be able to do that. smmDocument is just an enhanced UI for document handling ( targeted for CRM specific customers). Both the forms use same table at the back end. Activex control is smmDrop2 .., just make sure you copy all code on smmDocument form related to that ..
