It means in the Ledger transactions wont be posted anything in case of Depr book using. I think this is the 3rd solution for manage the Fixed asset in a different value situation. 1. is creating new value model on the same GL posting layer but posting setup using the same account in all posting cases means there wont be posted any balance in GL 2. is creating new value model on another GL posting layer as you have mentioned 3. using depr book functionality, there wont be created any GL posting. IMHO this is a great solution, we can use it for any purposes. Tax calculation, IAS, USGAAP against local statutory GL for example. We dont have to use separate GL posting layers, or cheating with GL posting setup in different value model cases ;) Cheers, Andras
Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] How to remove "Marking"
Hi James.. Thank you v.much for your assistance. It's working, after clear "InventRefTransId" Best Regards, Mohamed Ismail From: James Flavell To: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, December 22, 2008 11:28:37 AM Subject: RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] How to remove "Marking" I think you can just blank the LotReferenceId in the inventtrans (I guess you also need to do the same in SO and PO lines etc to be complete although these may get auto updated based on the triggers in the inventtrans. ..) Also maybe just check that your code inventtrans affects inventsum as well (the reserved qty fields etc) Good luck and let us know how it goes From: Axapta-Knowledge- vill...@yahoogro ups.com [mailto:Axapta- Knowledge- vill...@yahoogro ups.com] On Behalf Of AX Consultant Sent: 21 December 2008 18:10 To: Axapta-Knowledge- vill...@yahoogro ups.com Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge- Village] How to remove "Marking" Hi All, Is there a way to remove "Marking" from all the inventory transactions once not transaction by transaction? If I have to develop a job to do that update, Which tables should i select? Thanks, Mohamed Ismail

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Analysis extensions Installation error
Nitesh, Did you open a case with Microsoft? That is what I would do if I were you. It does seem like something that Microsoft should know about. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Analysis extensions Installation error
Hi , When I tried to InstallAX2009 SP1 Analysis extensions on Analysis service 2008 from AX2009 setup Wizard; it said "Analysis extension has Successfully Installed". But when I checked Analysis service Database I found that no Database was created for AX2009 . I checked the installation Log file it gives following Information . *=== Starting execution phase === * *=== Setting up Analysis extensions === * *Configuring Analysis extensions for use with Microsoft SQL Server.* *AnalysisServicesReplaceDatabases=1* *Connecting to SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services on server 'Ban-testsrv' and instance 'MSOLAP$MSSQLSERVER2008'.* *Connecting to SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services on server 'Ban-testsrv' and instance 'MSOLAP$MSSQLSERVER2008'.* *Executing XMLA script '\\10.29.6.86\Ax2009\Support\Analysis Services\Scripts\DynamicsAX.xmla'* *Disconnecting from SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services.* Why does the log show SQL2005 analysis Service when I am using SQL 2008 Analysis services ? Does AX2009 Sp1 support Analysis Services 2008? - Regards, NItesh Seth
