RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Upgrade problem with SP5

2006-03-07 Thread Hans van Gelder
I tried to search for SP5 in CostumerSource and PartnerSource…did not find
any reference to it…anyone has the exact navigation?

Thanks!

Hans.

Old story again:

RTFM !!

In the readme of SP5 is explained, that you should stay on the KR1
Kernel, when applying SP5 !.

Also there is a question popping up while you install SP5 if you
really whant to up/down-grade the Kernel otherwise the client and AOS
Installation keeps the KR1 files

applied Kernel Rollup before (which creates the field RecVersion in
every table), and now, after installing SP5 the kernel is replaced
with the one contained in SP5 package (which btw. have version no.
lower, than the one from KR1). I suppose, that the SP5 kernel does
not contain all the things included in KR1 (including the RecVersion
fields - i.e. optimistic concurrency checking). I got a confirmation
from MBS Support, that I should stay with the KR1 (exe etc.) instead
of the ones supplied with SP5

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Integrating Axapta with Lotus notes

2005-12-28 Thread Hans van Gelder

There is another solution, if you are looking to use only the client
features of Axapta. There is a very nice Add-In to use Outlook with a Lotus
Server (thank God). It is a freeware and you can see this at:

  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=8ebbba59-5f17-4e52-8980-c4f0dfa92d65&displaylang=en

Also, with this you get to use all of Outlook features, which are richer
and more efficient.

Rgds,

Hans van Gelder.

Check out a product called Intograte. One of my clients is using this
for working with Lotus Notes.

Hi ,

We would like to use the mailing facility of Axapta. However we use

Lotus notes in our office. Hence would like to know if its possible to

integrate Axapta with Lotus Notes. If yes then how and if no then is

there any work around or tools for the same.

Thanks in advance

Yes, FRx is linked to Axapta. The only drawback is that
dimensions must not have ANY special characters, just letters and
numbers (_,-,/,etc)
