Looks like you ran out of inventory when you try to create inventory
issues(invent journal, transfer order, sales order, etc.

Since you say you filled in the LotId my question would be have you checked
that there are inventory transactions linked to each journal line? usually that
is the first problem with any import where it is supposed to create inventtrans
records. Usually you will let the system assign the lot id as it creates the
inventtrans. ...long time since I did excel import for inventjournal so cannot
remember if the import auto creates the inventtrans

Good luck
James

Hi all,
I am trying to post the opening balances of the Inventory items from excel
templates of the movement journal(Invent journal trans and Invent dim). I
filled all the required fields including the lot id,journal number for the
item. When I am trying to validate the journal before posting, there is an
error message as
Cannot receive quantity because inventory transactions with status Ordered,
Arrived or Registered are insufficient.

Can anyone help me as it is very urgent.

I did not hear about 40.
In 50, CRM module has outlook integration by linking the emplId with outlook
email address, and actvitiy with outlook appointment, etc.

Versions could mess up in the setup. Make sure the sql server 2008 analysis
service is started and 2005 analysis service is stopped when you install the
extension.

Hi ,
When I tried  to InstallAX2009 SP1 Analysis extensions on Analysis service
2008 from AX2009 setup Wizard; it said Analysis extension has Successfully
Installed. But when  I checked Analysis service Database I found that no
Database was created for AX2009 . I checked the installation Log file it gives
following Information .

=== Starting execution phase ===
=== Setting up Analysis extensions ===
Configuring Analysis extensions for use with Microsoft SQL Server.
AnalysisServicesRep laceDatabases= 1
Connecting to SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services on server
'Ban-testsrv' and instance 'MSOLAP$MSSQLSERVER2 008'.
Connecting to SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services on server

Executing XMLA script '\\10.29.6.86\ Ax2009\Support\ Analysis

Disconnecting from SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services.

Why does the  log show SQL2005 analysis Service when I am using SQL 2008
Analysis services ?
 Does AX2009 Sp1 support Analysis Services 2008?-

You may have to recompile the AOTs(if in Ax40, compile classes, forms and
tables), and sync the table after you replace the AOD

One or more pending invoices cannot be displayed because they are in use.
Search for @SYS112584, it does in sys layer
You should be able to find the labal file in the installation directory like
Microsoft Dynamics AX\5.0\Application\Appl\Standard

I searched for a label that contained the text One or more pending
and that exact wording does not exist in any standard label files
provided by Microsoft (in 20). So, it may be that the message may be
coming from customized code.

In any event, ask a developer on your team to find the place in the
AOT where the message is coming from and that mght give you a clue as
to what is happening.

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] AX Project Account Process Flow

2008-12-02 Thread Kathy Bb
1. One project links with one project contract, which defines the customer's
account, payment information, address, etc.
2. Five project type, time material project, every cost(labor, material) would
be invoiced seperately; fix price project, customer paid by milestone, would
not invoice customer for every cost any more. The other project types are
internal used only
3. A project could link with a fixxed asset for depreciation calculating
4. Every project could have its own budget control
5. Project can have unlimitted level of sub project, so if you need to project
link to several customers. Sub project could help.
6. Every project could have its own hour journal, expense journal.item journal,
sales order, purchase order, production order, etc, but post to its contract
customer.

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] AX2009 Project Server Integration

2008-11-08 Thread Kathy Bb
Hi Han,
If you update the activity, for example start/end date, and re-populate into
AX. It should not create new activities in AX because they are using the same
activityId.
But even you have the updated activity, it won't automatically update the item
requirement's delivery date which master planning bases on.

Thanks,
Kathy

Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] AX2009 Project Server Integration

Has anyone worked with this much yet? We're trying to set up a demo
for what seems a simple requirement:

The PM will manage scheduling of activities in MS Project and synch to
AX Projects. Activities in AX have Item Requirements which then get
scheduled via Master Planning - all ok. PM then re-schedules the
activity and re-synchs to AX. Instead of seeing date changes in the AX
activity we get completely new activities; the old ones are left as
orphans with the item requirements still attached, so Master Planning
sees no changes.

Have we missed something in the integration setup?

Hans
