Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] To update Item Cost during GRN

2010-02-05 Thread sudeep s gopalkrishnan
Hi Aravind,

If you do this, system updates ledger a/c during GRn and the same will be
reversed at the time of invoicing. Normally we use packing slip a/c and
offset account for this.

My requirement is, during GRN Inventory cost should be updated and if an
issue happen before invoicing system should consider the qty and cost for
weighted avg. calcuation.

During GRN:
Stock a/c Dr
Packing Slip a/c Cr

Invoicing:

   Packing Slip a/c Dr
   Vendor Cr

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] To update Item Cost during GRN

2010-02-04 Thread sudeep s gopalkrishnan
Hi,

Anyone pls help me on AX setups, which is to be done for updating the cost
price during GRN (PO> Packing slip) level.

In the standard setup, at GRN level system updates only Item quantity and
Cost (cost account) will be updated at the time of invoicing and my
requirement is to update Qty and cost during GRN. AP should be updated at
Invoicing level.

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Stop an item for transactions

2009-07-27 Thread sudeep s gopalkrishnan
Item master--> Select Item--> Click on 'Setup' (Button) and Select 'Default
order setting'

You can found tabs for PO, SO and Invt. there. Go to any of the tab and
select check box 'Stopped' under the head 'other'.
This holds the item from tranasctions.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Consolidation and intercompany elimination

2009-07-16 Thread sudeep s gopalkrishnan
Hi,
Some one pls help me on consolidation of Foreign Subsidiary and intercompany
elimination.
The problems which I am facing are;
1.
After consolidation, In the consolidated company
Foreign subsidiary transactions are displayed in
foreign currency ie: field COA > Transaction,
transaction amount in specific currency is in foreign
currency and transaction amount in default
currency is in Consolidation company currency and
tranasction currency is foreign currency.

Problem: When creating an Intercompany
elimination, amounts are appearing in foreign currency
in journal line, so you will face voucher in
balance error.

2. Intercompany elimination journal creates
elimination lines for all the transactions lines, it never
 filter transactions for inter company.

This report is not only for General Journal, it displays unposted lines of
all the journal types
In Gl> Reports> Journals> Non posted Journal lines> Click on select:
Here you can find field journal type. If
you want to take only Unposted General Journal line, you will have
to select 'Daily' and click OK.

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Inventory recalculation

2009-04-01 Thread sudeep s gopalkrishnan
Hi James,

I didn't meant that check box selection, that option is for
recalculating the Inventory values after closing..
My question is " how I can stop the inventory recalculation during closing"?

I will breaf my isue;
My invetory valuation method is 'Weighted avg. In Axapta the valuation
methods you are specified at invent model group will be considered
only during Inventory closing process. Till inventory closing the
valuation will be @ "Pepectual moving (running) avg." basis. So when
you are performing an inventory closing the inventory will be revalued
based on my "Inventory model" defined and COGS will be recalculated.

So my question is; can we stop\avoid this recalculation during closing
process, so that my COGS will be untouched and this won't affect my
reporting also.

I can avoid this issue by not running the Inventory closing process,
but is there any option that you can run the periodic process without
recalculation.

Regards
Sudeep
