Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Re: Hiding Code

Hi,

Yes there exists a code scrambler tool for hiding the code but that is a
paid service.

Anyways there are possibilites where you can create your own tool.. but that
will require some time to do...

Sumit

   Hi

I remember reading somewhere that an Ax partner has developed X++
obfuscation tool. Not sure though, I may be wrong over here.

  Hi EveryBody,
Can any one please help me to secure my code. Actually we dont want our
code to be seen by any one including clients and other MS Partners .
Can we secure our code as we do in Visual Basic where we make .exe of
our code and deliver just that to clients so that no body can penetrate
that code, i want same thing to be done in Ax4
  Thanks in advance.

2008-08-13 Thread Not At My Desk
Hi All,
One of the biggest challenges I had explaining to all concerned, was that when
a project is created, it only holds a reference to the object and not a
version  of the object.  Any changes made within the project is made directly
to the object, and to all other projects that the object belongs to.
Care (or version control) should be taken when more than one project is
modifying an object, and when projects are subsequently transfered to the
production environments to only move completed and tested code and not Work In
Progres.
Regards
Abhi
