I dont know if i'm understanding your question right.
1. Are the 2 aquisitions that your are talking about the same Fixed
Asset/Upgrade aquisiton?
2. The first asset that you bought was put into service almost a year later.
Has the company has recognized it as a FA only on the 28th Mar, 94 or in
July the previous year.
3. How have you arrived at the 4.75% rate by Straight Line Depreciation? I
would like to understand
I would like to understand what you are trying to accomplish. Are you trying
to implement the same FA now on AX. If so, the best way would be to set the
opening balance of the FA as the depreciated value as on the date of opening
balance. Specify the remaining life and depreciate it from there on. If you
want to account for all the past years, you would have to create fiscal
periods for the last 13 years and depreciate the asset every year.
The depreciation in Ax could either be a straight line or Reducing
balance. I can specify 4.75 in reducing directly. However if there is this a
deprecition out of the ordinary depreciation mechanisms, you can specify
manual. Here specify exactly the percentage which needs to get depreciated
for every period.
