Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Portuguese Naming Traditions question
thank you for the link to the article. I found it somewhat helpful as I also came across a stray last name that noone in my family had ever heard before. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] transferring genealogy programs
Reading the posts, another site that I use is TribalPages for keeping a copy of my family tree. A distant cousin suggested it. I love that I can put notes and pictures all together for the person. It is free up to a certain point and after that the annual fee is relatively low compared to ancestry. This is not for everyone and others connect it with their FB. It is just another tool. I have all my files saved to a memory stick. So far no compatibility issues with any computer. I have one I use on trips. I can use it anywhere I go to save records on a computer. It just makes it easier for me. If I get a new computer I just open and continue on. I have had no file or program issues yet. Have never used a Mac. So that might be different. I have a couple of programs that I use one is Legacy, but I don't really like it. A lot of genealogists maybe farther ahead in their knowledge than I am. I just thought this might help. Blessings to all on their searches. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Portuguese Naming Traditions question
Lisa, Keep looking. There's a good chance it may pop up in your tree a couple of more generations back. [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: RootsMagic 5 (genealogy software) on sale through Dec. 22nd
It is not uncommon for any subscription/software company to promote current product, omitting mention of upcoming options. It's a bummer, but reality. I jut bought the new update Version 5, because RootsMagic has consistently expanded it's software options with my needs in documenting genealogy - sort of a Merry Christmas to me. -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to azores+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] transferring genealogy programs
Thanks, Cheri. I tend to think you are correct. The gedcoms I have received did not have all the information I have in my notes section of my files. I have not had time to read the book on Roots Magic 4 I purchased when I bought the program. I probably will not get to it until after the holidays.
