Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Descriptive terminology of relationship of Godparent to Child
Denis, I guess you could put numbers 1, 2, and 3 in a hat and pick one. You're right, none of them are ideal. I can't think of anything except what you've offered. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] genealogy reports
Geneva C-G, Everyone on this list is going to tell you their software is the best. Almost all the software will print books or reports and because it is a computer program, the printouts will have a machine like or computer like feel to them. All of them will do this. Download Legacy www.legacyfamilytree.com (Standard Edition is free) and Gedcom your stuff over and see how the reports/books print out for you. Then download RootsMagic: www.RootsMagic.com/Essentials. The Essentials is free. Gedcom your stuff over too and see how that works for you. Then you can go to The Master Genealogist (www.whollygenes.com) and download that for 30 days free. Play around with these 3 and see what you like. Family Tree Maker plus the above 3 are the most popular genealogy software programs out there for the PC. It's just finding the one that suits you on most of the things you want. [AZORES-Genealogy] genealogy reports
Hi: Can anyone tell me the best genealogy Software that prints really nice reports to be bound in a family book for relatives. I bought Family Tree Maker and I hate it. [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Listing childless marriages?
Tomás, The approach here is what you want to do with your records.. Do you want a simple listing of births, marriages and deaths? Or do you want to tell that person's life story? Stuff like occupation, immigration, and yes previous and/or childless marriages. If it's part of his life, and you've got data to support that part of it, you should definitively have it in. João C.
