Dick Eastman is probably at RootsTech in Salt Lake right now. If not, I
know a couple of list members are there.

I guess we will see how this all unfolds by the end of the year. It sounds
like both FTM and RootsMagic will sync with Ancestry. I guess folks will
have to play wait and see.

Don’t want to rain on your parade, but MacKiev is NOT a genealogy company. They 
have other software but I don’t believe any of it is genealogy related. I would 
be very wary of that situation. Those folks are probably not genealogists who 
have done research and can be supportive in that regard. RootsMagic is a 
program I’ve used, both Mac and PC. It is not my favorite, but if the Ancestry 
connection is important to you, then you may be happy with either of these two 
choices. Food for thought.
