Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/

2016-06-04 Thread Cesar Pimentel
Jr , You're right, Pedro da Costa was baptized in Ribeira Grande, probably in
1758. Use this date parameter because his death , which occurred on 06/06/1835
, mentions that he died at 77 years. He married Quitéria Pimentel , who in
death appears as Quitéria de Jesus, 06.11.1801 , Maia . Parents of Peter Manoel
da Costa and Maria da Ressurreição, were married in Ribeira Grande . As I am
unable to find the certificate of baptism of Pedro da Costa , I was looking
for, year after year , the records of baptism of the children of Manuel and
Maria , and all I found , hourly, 2 , were baptized in Ribeira Grande . The two
I found are older than Peter .

Pedro da Costa was not baptised Maia. He was baptised in Sao Pedro de Ribeira
Grande, also known as Ribeira Seca, filho de Manoel da Costa and Maria da
Resurreiciao natives Sao Pedro; he married Antonia da Ponte, in Maia, Feb 5-
1794, filha de Domingos da Ponte (Leite) and Maria Pacheca (or Correia) natives

You say Pedro married a second time to Quiteria Pimentel. When and where?
