[AZORES-Genealogy] **** Ribeira Seca deaths on Azores GenWeb

I recently received a set of files from Suzanne Edvalson that are her extracted 
death records index for Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge. They cover 1644-1879 but be 
aware that there are missing years that she has not been able to work on yet. 
She plans to do that after other projects are completed. So, take a look at 
these. Hopefully your ancestor will be among the ones in this index.

Here is what I found Herb. When you get to Antonio Andrade Raposo and 
Antonia Emilia marriage, the names I found do not exactly match. I was 
speculating it was going to be the Santos Raposo line of Nordeste that I am 
familiar with. But as you can see, it is not the same at all. Perhaps I 
have wrong people. You may want to check it. I picked this couple based on 
baptism of Maria Teresa Raposo:

sister.  She was a adopted but knows her sister was born in FR  a year after 
her birth.

If it helps, my grandfather was an agente. After serving in the Army he
enrolled in the police force and became an  Agente (Policeman).

 Herb, you need to contact Santo Cristo in Fall River for his marriage,
 as Joe Mendonça suggested. That 1907 time period is the right time to be

The Fall River Public Library has an obituary index that may be of help.
They have the FR Herald News on microfilm there so if you can find your
relative in the index they should be on film. I need to make another trip
there soon so if you'd like and you find him I would be happy get a copy of
the obit for you.
