Ponta do Pico,  if you have another clue I would ask my Pico relatives they
might know.

to me it looks like he was born September 2, 1900 Parents Francisco Arruda

Researching in Santa Maria

Trying searching in Sao Miguel.  For as long as I can remember a high
percentage of births occur in Sao Miguel.  Its possible that the new borns
get registered in Sao Miguel but actually go right back to living in Santa
Maria.  Just an idea.

[AZORES-Genealogy] Bretanha

I am looking for info on a Jose do Rego married to a Maria Arruda they were
born and married in remedios. {Bretanha]  They had a daughter that died at
the age of 25, there were more children from jose.  There is a daughter
that was born in 1931.  Unfortunaltey her mind is not allowing her to go
back in time as far as name and dates.

I have looked in Ajuda bretanha which maybe wrong in my part.  wehre would
I look for remedios.  I am assuming that Jose was bornm late 1800 to early
1900.

I have looked on on the batismos, The writting is so tiny that I am having
difficult reading it.  If anyone has this family or can lead me on the
right direction I would greatly appreciat any info or leads

On the idea of the same godparents

My daughters have the same godparents and I in turn with my husband are the
godparents of that couple's children
My granddaughter was baptized this weekend and she now has two godmothers
and one godfather. which in our religion and family tradition is a bit out
of the norm.  But the baby's mother wanted her two sister to have a hand in
helping her raising her daughter just in case

I went in June and had a great time..If you are into festas its best to
check the schedules of when they occur and the  towns...If you are you  to
play tourist then anytime between June and August  weather wise is best.
 Next year I am going to Pico to relax but I do believe that there will be
festas at around that time.

Nice to know that you had a good time, I just returned from visiting
all nine islands.  Although I did not have time to do research I
managed to meet lots of people that are willing to help.  Hopefully I
will be able to obtain more info with their help.  Withing my travels
I did find a bit of info in at least three of the islands.  Maybe one
day I will return just to do reasearch.
