It has been years since I have posted. Am looking for family. My grandfather was Francisco da Silva. DOB 1881 in Mosteiros. G-grandfather Henrique da Silva. Uncle Manuel Henrique da Silva all of the same village. How difficult? Are there consulates in the US? So,through my grandfather, Francisco da Silva, who was born in the azores ,- I might be able to get Portuguese citizenship? I only have a copy of his BC but have all of the other official documents tracing to my birth.he was from sao Miguel, village of moisteros. Cheri, I did the family tree DNA in 2013 and you helped me. I am not sure if I ever got into the Azores database. My mom and my husband died not long after I did the DNA and I just did nothing for a long while. Can you check? The DNA was from my mom, Noreen Ade AKA Noreen Silva, AKA Noreen Silver.
