Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] New Question re: Searching Passportes

2019-07-11 Thread JOSEPHINE MIGUEL
Ah, that helps a great deal. I look forward to getting the hang of this...one
day. Tell me, does anyone feel at risk being in the sites that say “not secure”?
Thanks again,

Hello Cheri,I thank you for your replies to my son, Don Miguel, with his
question regarding paternal great-grandparents.  It shed valuable light and
before now, unknown, information.  Going forward from Passport Registrations
and Portuguese Immigrants to Hawaii, Jacintho Miguel de Medeiros and wife
Antonia Hermina do Rego immigrated to Hawaii in1882.  Through Ancestry.com I
found a City Directory (1822-1989) listing Jacintho Miguel at gen store Laniwai
nr Cooke (I believe his employment).  All six of their children born in Hawaii,
surname Miguel.Jachinto (another misspelling) Miguel on California Passenger
List arriving San Francisco 24 May 1910; son Manuel Miguel on same Passenger
List.  Antoia Miguel De Medeiros on California Passenger List arriving San
Francisco one week later, 31 May 1910.Confused with surname Miguel because of
"de Medeiros" and "do Rego".  Also, saw Antonia Rega listed, which I then
thought was her maiden name. Thanks, Josephine Miguel
