Thanks JR I was sure the first on started with and F. The writer wrote his upper case F and T almost alike except for the horizontal line in the middle of the F. The earlier records did not use either name so I will look for more in this time frame.
Perhaps one of the priests was hard of hearing and didn’t completely understand what was said for the last name. After all this was the time before hearing aids. When you say Filix and Teles the could sound the same to a person who was hard of hearing. Now to figure which one was said and which one was heard. The name is very clearly Antonio Jose Tavares Telles In Guill The name Teles is found.
