The "passaportes" for the 3 ports of the Azores (Ponta Delgada on Sao
Miguel island, Angra on Terceira island, and Horta on Faial island) are
housed on the CCA.

To see the range of years (and gaps) in the records, you can use Tombo.pt:
http://tombo.pt/d/acores (click on the British flag if you need to navigate
in English).

Each port did it their own way and the information asked changed over time
as well.

The original URL in the original post comes from the CCA. Whether or not
Giovanni used Tombo to navigate the CCA to find the record or he went
straight to the CCA to look for the record doesn't matter. He posted a
passaporte record. Those have been up for a few years now. There's nothing
new there.
