is it just me? or is that yellow text on white background all but  
impossible to read?
and with just 4 BBC correspondents and no full bureau in the UK have  
the cutbacks gone too far?

If you are referring to the text at the top it appears to be on a
black background on my computer.

I think it was changed in the last couple of hours. It was unreadable
at around 9 when I read the original email.

In fact there does seem to be a bigger problem with the map.  It seems to be
using text-based searches, so it seems that "Washington" (sic) will pick up
anywhere in the world called that...

It would be much better if each story on the BBC web site listed the
lat/long for the story's location.
