[BackupPC-users] backing up Windows 7 libraries
Hello, I'm using smb to back up a Windows 7 machine. I noticed that Windows 7 treats My Pictures, My Videos, etc. differently than regular folders. They are almost like symlinks that are linked to real folders on the filesystem. (It took me a while to figure out why some of these folders were empty in the BackupPC administrative interface.) So, I'm writing because I can't figure out where the contents of the My Videos folder is contained. I'm getting this in my error log: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED listing \Documents\My Videos\* NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED listing \Videos\* The My Videos folder is supposed to be linked to C:\Users\myuser\Videos, yet BackupPC reports an empty folder. Any thoughts? Thanks! -Frank -- Gaining the trust of online customers is vital for the success of any company that requires sensitive data to be transmitted over the Web. BackupPC will re-create it upon startup. Even if you could copy it, the copy would have no effect. |This was sent by rageinh...@msn.com via Backup Central. No comment.
