[Bacula-users] Pending jobs sequence skipped.
Hi, Due to holiday and having no one around to switch tapes for me, I have more than 10 jobs created and pending for backup. Normally when situation like this occur (though with lesser number of jobs), I will just put in the tapes one by one and let the jobs run in sequence one after another. This time I found that 2 jobs (Saturday and Sunday) were marked as 'fatal error'. Monday job should be next in sequence, but job Friday is listed instead of Monday. I canceled the Friday job, but then a newer job that is way down in the job list got to run first. How does this happen? Check out the jobid - 138, 139, 149, 151. jobid 140 got skipped. | 137 | W2W4 | 2014-07-25 13:00:03 | B| F | 38,805 | 6,073,467,421 | T | | 138 | SatSunW2 | 2014-07-26 13:00:03 | B| I |0 | 0 | f | | 139 | SatSunW2 | 2014-07-31 20:00:20 | B| F |0 | 0 | f | | 149 | FriW1| 2014-08-06 03:00:33 | B| F |0 | 0 | A | | 151 | SatSunW2 | 2014-08-07 10:54:28 | B| F |0 | 0 | R | | 140 | MonTueW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 141 | MonTueW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 142 | WedThuW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 143 | WedThuW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 144 | FriW1 | | B| F |0 | 0 | C | | 145 | SatSunW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 146 | SatSunW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 147 | MonTueW2 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 148 | MonTueW2 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 150 | WedThuW2 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 152 | MonTueW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | | 153 | MonTueW1 | | B| I |0 | 0 | C | +---+--+-+--+---+--+---+---+ -- -- Infragistics Professional Build stunning WinForms apps today! Hello I need some help again... I've tried to run bconsole but no success. After doing some research I realize the director wasn't running... [Bacula-users] Bacula Loading Tape at the Wrong Library
Hello everybody, I'm new to Bacula, and i'm having a problem using different storages in a same pool. I have two HP Tape Libraries installed on the Storage (LibHP08 and LibHP09), i tried to configure some jobs to access both libraries, but I'm having some trouble with bacula accessing the wrong library. For example, bacula tries to access volume G00022L5 on slot 20 at LibHP08, but it reaches the volume H00011L5 on slot 20 at LibHP09. Basically, it tries to get a tape on the correct slot, but in the wrong Library. It Generates the Following error: LibHP 3307 Issuing autochanger unload slot 20, drive 1 command. Warning: Director wanted Volume G00022L5. Current Volume H00011L5 not acceptable because: 1998 Volume H00011L5 catalog status is Append, not in Pool. Then, bacula unloads the drive, tries to find the correct tape, but loads the wrong one, generates the error again, and so on. The job never completes, since it doesn't find the correct tape. Re: [Bacula-users] Bacula Loading Tape at the Wrong Library
Hi Vinicius, You need to use a unique Media Type for each autochanger, e.g. “LTO5-Library1” and “LTO5-Library2”. These are arbitrary string values, the exact name doesn’t matter. Bacula believes a drive in library1 is suitable for loading a tape from library2 because the same Media Type is used for each. Re: [Bacula-users] Error when trying to configure bacula-gui-7.0.5
Hello, Yes, Baculum is only web application. It was designed to work in web server document root directory. I noticed on this mailing list that you are not only one person for which document root requirement makes problem. I tried to do something with this issue. I prepared changes that detect if Baculum files are placed in subdirectory. If yes, then for each HTTP request is added this subdirectory name (or subdirectories names) as prefix. This change will be available in next release. Best regards. Marcin 2014-08-05 14:34 GMT+02:00 Machiel mach...@integrat.co.za: Hi, Thank you for the reply. ok, two questions here. - I have only copied the baculum directory from the bacula-gui-7.0.5 source directory and to the /var/www/html/baculum directory. -- first question, am I supposed to copy the full bacula-gui directory or was this correct. - my current virtualhost config is as follows: VirtualHost *:80 DocumentRoot /var/www/html/baculum/ serveralias # hashed out info ServerName # hashed out info Directory /var/www/html/baculum RewriteEngine On AllowOverride All AuthType Basic AuthName MyPrivateFile AuthUserFile /var/www/html/baculum/passwords Require valid-user /Directory /VirtualHost This is the only site that will be running on the server so I have placed this virtualhost in the default file. If I need to put a rewrite rule in, then my second question is what would it look like as I dont know how to write rewrite_rules at all. Regards On 05/08/2014 14:20, Marcin Haba wrote: Hello, It looks that your DocumentRoot option from VirtualHost does not indicate to directory with Baculum files. The most probably is that you used subdirectory for storing Baculum files. For example, if you are storing Baculum files in location: /some/dir/bacula-gui/baculum then according Apache configuration file part can look like below: VirtualHost *:80 DocumentRoot /some/dir/bacula-gui/baculum ServerName somehost.example.com Directory /some/dir/bacula-gui/baculum AllowOverride All AuthType Basic AuthName MyPrivateFile AuthUserFile /etc/apache2/some_password_file Require valid-user /Directory /VirtualHost In other words, Baculum files need to be located on top location of your web server document root. From this reason access to Baculum is by: http://yourhost/ but NOT by: http://yourhost/baculum/ I believe that this problem is easy to skip by modifing mod_rewrite rules. Best regards. Marcin 2014-08-05 10:30 GMT+02:00 Machiel mach...@integrat.co.za: Hi Guys Thank you for the response on this matter. I have now followed the instructions for installing baculum as per the INSTALL file, however now I a getting the following when I go to the web interface: The requested URL /wizard/ was not found on this server. I have done some web searches and everyone is noting that the authorisation needs to be configured and that mod_rewrite needs to be enabled. Both these have been done, however still getting that message. Any ideas on what might be wrong or how to fix this? I am by no means an apache or php expert. Re: [Bacula-users] Good web interface??
This is Webacula 5.5.1, on a CentOS 6.5 system, Bacula 7.0.5 and the database is Postgres 8.4 Although I don't ever use Webacula, bconsole is so much easier for me, I do have the exact same setup on one system and it works fine. You likely have some local issue that could be resolved if you are preferential to Webacula. jlc -- Want fast and easy access to all the code in your enterprise? Re: [Bacula-users] Good web interface??
I’m using Webacula 5.5.1 with Bacula 7.0.4 on CentOS 6.5 without any problem, so I think it must be an issue on your local installation. Try to increase the log level in php.ini and log to a file to get a hint what the problem could be. Maybe a permission issue from your web process user to execute bconsole.
