Anything in the system logs? Also check selinux, audit2allow -a /var/log/audit/audit.log to see if selinux might be stopping it. I've select the target host by changing the value of Restore Client during the restore process, selecting the desired target host to restore to from the hosts list presented. Re: [Bacula-users] HP 1/8 G2 LTO6 Ultrium 6250 SAS autoloader
Hi, The big thing for supporting tape libraries includes: 1. Can you support mt and mtx commands for the tape changer 2. Is the drive supported in Linux. If you can answer both those questions I would say you are good to go. However I can say that some changers have issues and I have had to modify the mtx scripts to make them work. For example, sometimes you have to issue an explicit eject to the tape drive before you can move the tape with the tape changer, where as in other tape changers, a move operation implicitly ejects the tapes. Since the mtx scripts for bacula are just shell scripts, you can easily make modifications you need to make things work. Yes I know that, actually I am using bacula for several years now. The problem is we are offered this specific device but I have no opportunity to test it before we buy! :-D Both compatibility lists on wiki and documentation seem to be outdated and do not mention this model anyway. That's why I'm checking, maybe somebody just had personal experience with it? The compatibilty list seems to be outdated. We switched yesterday to a Tandberg Data 3535-LTO LTO6 SCA device (standalone) which works flawlessly so far. I’m sure Bacula Systems got a compatiblity list for Enterprise customers. Matt, I've been using SQLite for as long as I have used Bacula, perhaps fourteen or fifteen years and have had zero problems. I have a small operation with ten or twelve PC's (running Debian stable) and a couple of servers. Disk backups are run nightly and a tape backup weekly. I've read all the recommendations to run Postgres or MySQL but my philosophy has been "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" and just keep running SQLite. It's easy to set up & manage, performance has not been a problem and it doesn't tie up a lot of system resources. Cheers!
