Did you monitor resource usage during the backups? The list of files
generated for accurate backups are kept in memory (by both director and
client), so this should cause resource use (CPU, memory, etc.) to increase
in both hosts.

Mine too. When using accurate backups, the amount of resources used should
be noticed when running incremental, differential and full+basejobs backups.

Sorry, I am a Bacula programmer, and I do not know much about databases

[Bacula-users] Restoring directories with an underscore

2015-08-08 Thread kbonnet
Oh people!

Let's first start positive. It's great to see how active and helpful this
community is! Thank you for your help the past day.

Now, it was all my own fault. This directory alf_data appeared to be a symlink.
:( I tried on another install where the directory is just the directory, and i
experienced no problem. Sorry for bothering you!

Off topic, I did experience slowness in the "building tree" process after
giving the restore command. I moved from mysql to postgres.

Again, thank you for your help. Please excuse my pityful entry here :D

Yes, the above is the best advice. Also when the user is at:

cwd is: /opt/alfresco-4.2.e/

a command such as

ls

will tell you what files and subdirectories Bacula has in the catalog for the
/opt/alfresco-4.2.e directory.

Quick guess that "alf_data" is "alf_data " or something like that.

I can't recall if
$ cd *alf*data*
will work, you could try that.

Comparing a listing of the directory on the machine with that of the
backup might give some more clues.
