Re: [Bacula-users] deal with Bacula database growth

2018-10-24 Thread krashoverride
Good morning Heitor,

Indeed, prune command, not purge, sorry.
I've set the directive AutoPrune = yes in the pool (and not to the client or it
will affect _i guess_ all my jobs)
So, the pruning process will start when ?

Thank you!

Thib

It is the prune command, not purge. The purge command is used to recycle
volumes.
It depends if you set AutoPrune directive yes or no.

AFAIK yes.

Hello Marcin

The authority has been changed.
It worked.

Thank you for your reply.
I will create a Japanese file corresponding to the new baculum interface.

Thank you.

[Bacula-users] Baculum login issue

2018-10-24 Thread Chris Wilkinson
I changed the password for the API to something other than the default
'admin'.

The web interface now complains

Baculum problemError 100 - Problem with connection to remote host. cURL
error 0: .Unauthorized

TRY AGAIN or run Baculum Initial Wizard

Neither of these links are operative.

If I reset the API password back to admin it all works again.

How should I change the passwords of the API and Web interface?

2018-10-24 Thread krashoverride
Hello,

Thank you for this information
If I set this directive to my pool, when will the purge start ? as it does not
concern a job ? I've updated my pool through bconsole command "update"

You do confirm me that this directive will only affect the jobs/files (from
catalog) from the pool, not "every job" ?
I can't loose monthly records in the catalog

Thank you!

You can also set the File/Job Retention directive in the Pool Resource.

Re: [Bacula-users] bacula-sd.conf: permission denied

2018-10-24 Thread krashoverride
Hey Josh,

Sorry for delayed answer. Yes i did try to force user / group, still no success
I installed a fresh VM, with a fresh bacula, everything works as expected.

I've also seen that this "old" VM was installed using LVM. Maybe it came from
here (missing rights somewhere somehow)

Anyway, thank you everyone for your support, as always, fully appreciated.

Thibault

Then do 'ps aux | grep bacula-sd' and see what bacula-sd ends up running
as when systemd starts it. I suspect that it runs as a different user:group.

Have you tried passing -u and -g flags to bacula-sd when you run it from
the cli?
