[Bacula-users] Bacula | NAS2000 - Linksys

2010-07-15 Thread Sebastián Moreno
Hi Folks,

Good morning/afternoon/night for everyone, I have a fresh install working of
Bacula 5.0.1 version on my box (Debian Lenny 5.0.2). I'm trying to mount as
Storage a share folder, I have a NAS (NAS2000 - Linksys) On NAS's web
interface I can only create a share folder and give user permissions , so I
can't enter to the OS.

When I mount this share folder on my bacula box I can create folders and
everything but I can't give bacula or tape permissions to make this folder
the Storage.

This is my line to mount the folder:

mount -t cifs //192.168.150.142/backup -o
username=bacula,password=some_pass,rw,bg,vers=3,proto=tcp,hard,intr,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,forcedirectio,llock
 /backup/NAS/

On my bacula box, when I mount this share folder I see the users 501,502.
This users are from NAS

If you need more info please don't hesitate to ask me!!

Thank's a lot!!!

PD: Sorry my bad English! I'm from Uruguay!

Hi,

Thank's for your quick response..But...I think this NAS don't support NFS..

The only network file system supported is SMB/CIFS; sorry, no AFP or NFS.
The 200 won't join an AD or NT domain to get user account information.

You would still use it in the same way (just like local disk storage).
Just mount using CIFS rather than NFS.

Exactly!

I tried with user bacula and the same thing happened...

I can't change the folder's owner.

Maybe my last alternative it's install a FreeNAS or Openfiler

As badly setup by deb maintainers, your network backup solution is only
listening on lo (127.0.0.1)
making it unusable on network.

Double check all your config files and replace the 127.0.0.1/localhost by your
real ip or hostname.

fill a bug about the package, asking to set it up network ready.

 Hi Folks:

Good evening to all, I'm a guy from Uruguay..So.. sorry my bad English hehe

I'm having a problem with a Bacula fresh install, my version is 5.0.1 and
it's running on a Ubuntu Server 10.04 box (Also a tried to install on a
CentOS Box and I had the same problem)

I can make local backups but not with remote clients (My clients are on the
 same lan network)

When I run a job the director status say : is waiting for Client laptop-fd
 to connect to Storage HDD

I don't have any IPtables or firewall or something like that..So the
 connection outbound/inbound it's open..

 What can be??

If you need more information I can give for you without any problems...

 Thanks a lot!

PD: I tried with linux and windows clients and it's the same problem
