[Bacula-users] BAT and BWeb from another machine

2009-05-27 Thread Reynier Perez Mira
Can I use this too amazing tools from other server rather than the same server
where Director is running? I say this because Bacula (Director, Storage) run in
one Ubuntu Server with no graphic interface. It the answer is yes then ¿any
manual or guide in how to configure to get them working?

Cheers and thanks in advance

Bweb : web based. Requires no X-windows, a HTTP-server such as Apache is
needed. If you need to run bweb on an other server than Bacula you
should define the host in the DBI connection string (I have not tested
this): add: host=myhost.mydomain.com .

BAT
Install run BAT at your local machine and edit /etc/bat.conf and let
it point to the right Director.
Alternatively: You can run BAT over SSH from the Bacula server if SSH
with X-forwarding is enabled and if basic Xsystem is installed (no full
X-windows is needed).

Everything is documented afaik. Also look at the wiki.

Regards
Olaf
