[Bacula-users] Incremental jobs upgraded to full backups
Hi folks, Looking at last evening's backup reports, I noticed 3 incremental jobs ran as full backups. Since those 3 jobs are not newly created client jobs I am a bit perplexed with the sudden change. Following is the beginning of the messages from one of the backups. 02-Feb 23:00 backupserver-dir JobId 25712: No prior Full backup Job record found. 02-Feb 23:00 backupserver-dir JobId 25712: No prior or suitable Full backup found in catalog. Doing FULL backup. 02-Feb 23:00 backupserver-dir JobId 25712: Start Backup JobId 25712, Job=MYSQLSRV.2011-02-02_23.00.25 02-Feb 23:00 backupserver-dir JobId 25712: Using Volume 040BCL from 'Scratch' pool. . . A job will fallback from incremental to full level when there is no full backup to compare to. As Jan stated caused by pruning / retention times. Therefore take a look at your retention entries instead of your filesets. Cheers PM -- Special Offer-- Download ArcSight Logger for FREE (a $49 USD value)!
